These images are stored locally, or remotely, and are also optionally uploaded to your FTP server or MobileMe Account meaning they can they be accessed from anywhere via Webpage Bookmarks.
You can view the Computer / Webcam from Your iPhone, Netbook, Computer or any Web Enabled Device.
The reason I have done this is simple. If just one child is saved from abuse using technology I have developed then that’s fantastic. Making it free means that any parent who’s child has an Apple Computer can obtain the software quickly, easily and without cost. Introducing this extra element of security and safety may make all the difference.

MonitorMyMac Promotion - Success

Last Wednesday I did a promotion for MonitorMyMac which lasted for 24 hours. In that time I gained 67 new customers for MMM which I think was a great success, so thanks to everybody who participated, and thanks in general to all my customers. Without you guys I’d have to do a real job 
Seriously though - it was a good result for Arten Science and hopefully in addition to the sales it generated I hope it got our name out there a bit more. Marketing is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most important thing when you run your own business. Try telling that to me two years ago ...

This release increases the Trial Version limit of 10 snapshots to 30 before a restart is required.

Surveillance for Your Mac

Version 1.1.0 of MonitorMyMac introduces the capability for MMM to create HTML files which contain a link to the latest captured images.
Two files are created (assuming you have set the Preferences to capture both Screen and Webcam), the files are named:
mmm_latest_webcam.html
and
mmm_latest_screenshot.html
These files are created and stored locally with your images as well as being automatically uploaded to your FTP site (if you are using the FTP capability).
In practical terms what this gives you is the capability to bookmark these files and view the latest webcam or screen captures from iPhone, Windows Mobile Device, Netbook, Browser or any other device that can display webpages and has access to your FTP site over the internet.
This is much easier and quicker than manually looking at the directory listings to establish the latest images. Although you can of course still do this should you wish to.
