Setting Up: ContaxCRM Client for MySQL
If using the Multi-User MySQL version of ContaxCRM you will need to setup the ContaxCRM client software to access the MySQL database instead of the local SQLite database. This is very straightforward. The process is as follows:
1. Edit the ContaxCRM_GeneralSettings.r10 file with a Text Editor. Make the changes as shown in the image below. This file can now be copied into every users ContaxCRM folder.
2. Copy the user specific ContaxCRM_MU_License.r10 and user specific ContaxCRM_License.r10 as supplied by Arten Science into the users ContaxCRM folder.
That is it. This method of configuration is both very simple and easily scaleable to 10's and even 100's of users.
The first time you come to logon to the MySQL via ContaxCRM, you will see the logon screen. As you have not yet setup any Users or Passwords, you need to use the defaults:
