Mac OSX

After downloading ContaxCRM you need to double click the downloaded file to mount the dmg and show the contents (you may have your Mac setup to automatically do this).

Drag the ContaxCRM folder to the Applications folder. Note: Applications is the recommended location but in fact you can put it where you like, you could even drag the ContaxCRM folder onto an external hard disk or USB pen drive and run it from there should you wish to do so.

Windows

After downloading ContaxCRM you need to double click the downloaded file to show the contents of the compressed zip file.

Drag the ContaxCRM folder from out of the zip file and to an appropriate place on your computer. \Program Files is the recommended location. Note: Applications is the recommended location but in fact you can put it where you like, you could even drag the ContaxCRM folder onto an external hard disk or USB pen drive and run it from there should you wish to do so.

All Platforms

After moving the ContaxCRM folder into your desired location, open the ContaxCRM folder and inside you will find the several applications and files. Double Click the Launcher file, when it runs double click on the ContaxCRM entry.

As this is the first time you have run the program the first thing you will see is a dialog message concerning the database. This message informs you that the default databases are setup for you.


Just click the OK button to continue. The main ContaxCRM screen will open along with a Nag screen encouraging you to register and receive your serial number.

If you wish to register immediately then click the ‘Purchase’ button. This will take you to the ContaxCRM website from where you can purchase a license. You will receive a license via email within minutes.

If you wish to try ContaxCRM before registering then click the ‘Not Yet’ button to close the Nag screen.

You are now free to go ahead and start using ContaxCRM. See the rest of this Manual for additional information.
